Bon Voyage Card

This card is made on a green DCWV card base that I distressed and then stamped with a Prima text stamp. The patterned paper, tab & rhinestones are from Teresa Collins World Traveler. There are also a few vintage paper bits thrown in that I got in a swap. My favorite is a leaf shape that I stuck behind the sentiment so that it looks like a little wing!

Sticker Card

This card is for the CAS-usual Fridays challenge, Clean & Simple with flowers or trees. Since the challenge is sponsored by SRM Stickers, I used stickers instead of stamps!

The green card base is DCWV, the flower stickers are Recollections, and the sentiment sticker is from Michael's but I can't find the package to tell you the brand. The purple & white floss is Sew Easy from We R Memory Keepers.

I hope you like it!

Decorative Text

This page is for the Decorative Text challenge at Collage Obsession. I have to say, this came out more "doodled" than "illuminated" as the challenge asked for.  But that's OK, we'll just go with it!

The background is a map on mixed media paper, covered in white gesso. The F is sketched and filled in with Sharpies and colored pencils. I also added some of my favorite F words in silver sharpie. FUN! :)

Words in Art Collage

I made this mixed media collage starting with an image of a girl that I painted and papered over. I used various paints, papers, ephemera, stamps and yarn for the background. The border is doodled with Sharpies.

The text reads "She did not know where to look."

This collage is posted at Three Muses.

Quick and Easy Thank You Card

For this quick thank you card, I stamped the background dots (Mint Motif border stamp) with blue Distress ink. Then I matted the sentiment card (Jillibean Soup) with green cardstock, added a flower & brad (Michael's) and attached it with foam tape.

I really like the pop of color from the patterned flower!

Gallery at the Scrap Exchange

I am so excited to have several of my collages hanging at the Scrap Exchange! All of the works in the gallery are made with recycled and reused materials.  There were some really cool sculpture and weaving pieces, as well as quilts made from scrap fabric.

Here is my little section of the gallery:

Two Birds Collage

The Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab this week is "3 Little Birds" but I decided to modify that a little bit and make a TWO birds collage.

This collage is made in a vintage cigar box top. The background is vintage book and magazine pages.

I painted a chipboard bird and attached it, and also added a few K & Company bird, sentiment & egg stickers. The Family sentiment is spelled out with Scrabble tiles.

Once I got all the pieces attached, I sprayed Walnut ink and spread it around to outline my elements.  Finally, I added a few flower rub-ons. Right now the collage is propped up on my mantle, but I plan to add picture wire so I can hang it up.

Hope you like it!

Silhouette Card

I created this card using the Hero Arts Clings Silhouette Women stamp in black ink onto a gold irridescent oval die cut from within a frame of the same paper.

I then layered those over top of a K&Company Ancestry paper, and tied with a Sweet Petites green ribbon.

I also used a watermark ink to stamp a background on the card, but it really doesn't show up at all on the cream card stock.

Button Flowers

This clean and simple card has stamped stems and leaves and button flowers threaded with twine.

I really love this simple composition because the card could be used for Spring, Easter, Get Well, or many other occasions.

Easter Egg Card

I made these Springy Easter Eggs for the Take A Word and So Artful Challenges.  The pink cardstock was folded into a card and then I added the pattered paper at the bottom and green ribbon in the middle. The eggs are embossed with 3 different colors of ink, using clear embossing powder.

Happy Easter to all of you!
